“Delivering this project through the pandemic has come with its challenges, but the entire team should be extremely proud of how works continued through several lockdowns and were delivered to the highest level of quality. It is a project that we have been working on for 3 years and we are hugely appreciative of Tony and Exeter Rugby Group for appointing us to deliver the Cost Management service”

Services Provided

The grand 250 bed, Marriott brand standards hotel offers luxury accommodation and a connecting base to the South West. With panoramic views of the Exe Estuary, the venue boasts fantastic conference and dining facilities, as well as a match day bar for Exeter Chiefs fans.

Having provided all Cost Management services, this project holds great significance to Coreus, particularly with it being one of our very first projects.

The hotel will also provide leisure facilities on the ground floor, and a rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant overlooking the River Exe Estuary. The facility will be accessible via a glazed bridge, and will have an open plan bar, coffee bar and lounge. The basement of the hotel will provide spa and fitness facilities, including a sauna, steam room and gym, as well as meeting rooms and a 24-hour “marketplace” for drinks and snacks.

Upon appointment Coreus championed the use of Modern Methods of Construction to engineer the in situ concrete frame to a light gauge steel solution, in the process saving the Client in excess of £1m.
