Coreus Group are currently providing Cost Consultancy services to Sandy Park Hotel Ltd for their new 250 room hotel. Planning permission has been granted by Exeter City Council for the 250-bedroom, nine-storey property to be built at the complex, home to the Exeter Chiefs rugby club, which will own the hotel. Marriott International will manage the hotel under a 30-year lease. The hotel will include a roof top terrace and bar which will have panoramic views of the Exe Estuary creating a destination for Exeter.

The hotel will also provide leisure facilities on the ground floor, and a rooftop cocktail bar and restaurant overlooking the River Exe Estuary. The facility will be accessible via a glazed bridge, and will have an open plan bar, coffee bar and lounge. The basement of the hotel will provide spa and fitness facilities, including a sauna, steam room and gym, as well as meeting rooms and a 24-hour “marketplace” for drinks and snacks.

Upon appointment Coreus championed the use of Modern Methods of Construction to engineer the in situ concrete frame to a light gauge steel solution, in the process saving the Client in excess of £1m.
