We are so pleased to welcome Poppy, for a work experience placement with our team.

.

Poppy joins us from Oakwood College, a specialist college for young people with learning difficulties and disabilities. After recently delivering a careers talk at the school, we were extremely impressed with Poppy’s positive can-do attitude, and passion for social media and events.

.

“I am very excited to learn new skills and build relationships with my new colleagues. Everyone has been really kind and helpful towards me. The building at Winslade Park is so grand, I didn’t think I would ever work in a place like this!

I have a condition called Williams syndrome, which affects me in many ways. I have a special chair that supports my back, and if we do go out for a long time I take my wheelchair. Making friends was hard at first, but I have learned to use comic strips and can tell my emotions using a feelings board. This has been really helpful and I’m really grateful for everything the college has done for me”

.

Poppy has already brought such positivity to our office – we can’t wait for her to help us with upcoming event planning!
