Meet Stewart Gregson, our Development Director. We had a quick chat with him about his role and what he envisions for the future of Coreus.

How many years have you worked in the industry?

I’ve been in the industry for nearly 43 years and have had a very varied and interesting career working across many aspects and sectors of the construction industry.

Why did you decide to join Coreus?

I had actually left the industry 4 years ago to own and run a Cafe with my wife. Andy and I had stayed in touch and he had always talked about me doing some work for Coreus. Circumstances combined last summer to make that a reality and I joined Coreus to support Andy in the rapid growth of the business.

What is your greatest achievement?

I think the last 12 months have been a life-changing experience for all of us due to the pandemic. Through working with Andy and the Coreus team I’ve not only been able to secure my family’s future but have thrived personally in such a dynamic and exciting working environment. I’ve also been able to bring my experience to help the Coreus team lay very firm foundations for a sustainable and bright future. It’s been so rewarding to see the business mature and its talented team continue to develop.

What challenges do you foresee in the future of construction?

The Industry desperately needs to be more attractive as a career path for young people. To do that it needs more organisations like Coreus that want to break the mould and do things differently.

What has been your most notable project with Coreus?

The Chard Public Realm project when complete is going to make a real difference to the economy of Chard Town Centre. We’ve worked closely with the client and the projects diverse stakeholders to develop a high-quality scheme that meets everyone’s key success criteria whilst staying within budget!

Where do you see Coreus in 5 years?

I see Coreus challenging the big players in the Construction Consultancy world, its already getting itself noted by some significant clients and players in the Industry.

Anything else you would like to add?

Coreus has managed to thrive during what has been the most difficult 12 months many of us can remember, I am so excited to be part of the team and am looking forward to a bright future as we all move forward.
