About The Project
Coreus is collaborating with Ivy Education Trust to implement two primary workstreams aimed at enhancing sustainability across their operations:
Building-focused Initiatives: In this aspect of the partnership, Coreus is conducting comprehensive energy efficiency audits across Ivy Education Trust’s facilities.
These audits involve meticulous assessments of each building’s energy usage, identifying areas where improvements can be made to enhance efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Drawing upon their expertise in sustainable building practices, Coreus is developing tailored solutions to address specific inefficiencies within each facility.
These solutions may include upgrades to lighting systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, insulation, and other building components to optimize energy performance and minimize environmental impact. By implementing these efficiency improvements, Ivy Education Trust can significantly reduce operational costs while simultaneously lowering their carbon footprint.
Organisational Sustainability: Coreus is also spearheading efforts to assess and mitigate the trust’s overall carbon footprint through a trust-wide carbon baselining exercise. This involves collecting and analysing data on the trust’s carbon emissions across various operational aspects, including energy consumption, transportation, waste management, and procurement practices. By establishing a clear understanding of their current carbon emissions profile, Coreus will work closely with Ivy Education Trust to develop a comprehensive net zero roadmap.
This roadmap will outline strategic initiatives and actionable steps to achieve net zero carbon emissions across the trust’s operations. It will include specific targets, timelines, and recommended measures to progressively reduce emissions and transition to more sustainable practices.
